TWO DAY WORKSHOP WITH ANAS FROM BARCELONA
in our studio in Düsseldorf Unterbilk - Fürstenwall 70, 40219 Düsseldorf (Innenhof).

Please bring an apron or wear clothes that can get dirty. If you want, you can bring your own towel.
The calendar will only show the 14th of November, but when you sign up, you sign up for both days.

Join a two day workshop on the 14th and 15th of November with pottery instructor Anas from Barcelona to refine your skills and learn how to shape bigger pieces into bellied forms or with long necks.
We will come together to work on your current technique and adapt, improve and refine your existing skillset. You will tackle bigger amounts of clay and create huge vessels on the wheel, but especially learn how to shape bigger forms precisely. He will bring his expertise from working and teaching in different studios to bring your pottery skills to the next level.
You will spend 12 hours throwing on the wheel in our studio in Düsseldorf. 6 hours on the Saturday and 6 hours on the Sunday. On both days we will spend 1 hour break together with a delicious lunch.
Day 1 will be centered around technique. Preparing the clay, centering the clay, pulling up high walls and creating beautifully large pieces. He will check your current skillset and make adjustments if necessary. You are free to ask all technical questions to improve your throwing skills.
Day 2 will be focused on shaping such as belied forms, long necks, bowls, vases etc. He will help you to refine your throwing skills further, practice practice practice and in addition trimming the pieces you created the day before. One large piece will be included. The chosen vessel will be fired and glazed by Studio Ton. More pieces can be fired at additional cost. After approx. 8 weeks the piece(s) will be ready for pick up.
Important: This workshop is set up for intermediate and advanced potters, who already feel comfortable centering 1-1.5kg of clay on the wheel. This is mandatory to be able to participate in this workshop.

Our introductory courses are paid in advance by bank transfer. After registration, you will receive an automatic confirmation email containing all payment information.
If you cancel more than 30 days before the start of the course, you will get a full refund. If you cancel between 30 and 14 days before the start of the course, we will charge 50% of the course fee you have already paid. We will refund the difference as soon as possible.
For cancellations/rescheduling less than 14 days before the start of the course, we will retain the entire course fee. If you find a replacement for you, the spot can be given to a replacing person, but cannot be refunded.
